1-Day Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands, Glencoe & Pitlochry: Hairy Coo

Scotland is full of delightful people, historical landmarks, diverse eateries, and captivating scenery. In an effort to try and see as much as we can, we opted for the 1-Day Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands, Glencoe & Pitlochry Tour with the Hairy Coo.

We started our morning with checking in with the crew at 7:45 AM as the tour departs at 8:00 AM sharp. We were kindly greeted and sorted onto the buses. If you can, sit as close to the front as possible. You will get an awesome and clear view through the front windshield of the bus as you are driven to and from each stop. We brought a backpack and packed our chargers, some snacks, water, and light jackets.

Your time spent on the bus is filled with the tour guide providing you with humor, great music, and stories. It was a joy to hear the history and carefully selected music playlist fit our journey every step of the way.

What did our day consist of?

Callander: First, you are given a bit of time for some breakfast. Open around 9 in the morning was COSTA
Coffee and MHOR Bread. We opted to try MHOR bread and purchased some lovely scones and a coffee. We also walked over to grab some sweets from the fudge shop.

Glencoe: The spectacular scenery here is breathtaking. It is a picturesque location that is certainly memorable. Have your camera ready to take these once in a lifetime pictures. It’s clear why so many writers are inspired by this landscape.

Fort Augustus Village: This stop into the town of Fort Augustus allows for some food! There are different selections of food offered in this town and we chose to eat at Cobbs Cafe. We chose to browse the souvenir stores and purchased some magnets, pens, and shirts. We also opted to purchase the optional cruise on Loch Ness.

Loch Ness: I’m sure you know the stories! The fact that we were able to take a cruise on THE Loch Ness was amazing. The crew aboard the ship provided important safety information in addition to elaborating on your knowledge of the Loch Ness monster. At the end of this cruise, you will be a believer in Nessie.

I know what you are thinking. WHERE ARE THE COOS?

Hairy Coos: The tour guides finally delivered in taking us all to see the majestic Highland Cows-coos. They were a social group of coos and the fact that they had babies as well made it a memorable sight to see.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with the Hairy Coo team and if you are unsure if you should book the 1-Day Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands, Glencoe & Pitlochry tour – do it!

We hope you find our information helpful.
